Visual design / UX
Evidensia
The European leader in veterinary care wanted to enable digital vet care due to an increase in pressure on vet practices, caused by a rise of two million pets in the UK during the pandemic
THE PROJECT
From scratch, created an app for the UK market that would free up time for veterinarians and enable digital vet care for customers. The app was released under the name My Family Vets
MY ROLE
Involved from the start of the project. Worked as the sole visual/UI designer across three agile teams. Was responsible for the visual design and building of UI components/design system, all from scratch. As well as being the UX designer for one of the teams, I also supported ten front-end developers and product owners
THE RESULT
In June 2022 an MVP was released in the UK (available on both App Store and Google Play). Both stakeholders and users have given the app great feedback

Authentication flow
As both the UX and UI designer, I took the authentication flow from the flowchart and wireframes to the high fidelity design. During the process I also iterated on my own design
Practice appointments
Users go through the booking-flow to book an appointment in any of the vet practices
VET GROUPS / INDEPENDENT VET PRACTICE
ITERATION
THE PROJECT
There was an issue in the practice-booking-flow where users booked appointment at the wrong practices. This was due to some users not understanding that some practices operate as a vet group, and that there are several different practices within a group of practices
THE RESULT
The solution required making the user distinguish between a vet group and a practice. It should also work for all different paths such as, enabling/disabling location permissions, adding a favourite practice, and adding a "more info" link for each practice.
